Social Network Analysis for Analysing Public Sentiments

This dashboard was developed for Government of India. The current government has a great focus on data driven governance. This dashboard gets feeds from social networking sites such as Twitter, Facebook and analyzes the sentiments of people. In this case it is Twitter and we are looking at sentiments of people with respect to a political issues. This dashboard helps understand public views, can help shape policies and gain public confidence/popularity by focusing on issues that matter to the public. It acts as a lens to look into people's opinions, choices and priorities.


Demographic Analysis

The solution analyses the details of child labour and its instance in rural and urban areas in Manipur and Haryana. This helps underscore areas of concern so that proactive action may be taken. The dashboard is also multilingual and can depict the results in Hindi.


Analytics Around Industrial Production & Use

The Quick Estimates of Index of Industrial Production (IIP) with base 2004-05 for the month of March 2015 have been released by the Central Statistics Office of the Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation. IIP is compiled using data received from 16 source agencies viz. The General Index for the month of March 2015 stands at 197.3, which is 2.1% higher as compared to the level in the month of March 2014. The cumulative growth for the period April-March 2014-15 over the corresponding period of the previous year stands at 2.8%.


Balance of Trade Analytics

The goal of this project was to monitor and visualize the trade statistics for several commodities across multiple countries and all major ports in India. The solution captured data real time from transaction data store, applied business rules and algorithms over a hierarchical data structure. Users can view trade statistics across countries, commodities and ports. The tool provides trend analysis at various levels and on demand reporting.


Financial Inclusion

Financial Inclusion, under Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) is one of the biggest success stories in social empowerment through access to banking forlarge multitude of unbanked population in India. The operational success of the endeavor depends greatly on relevant analytical insights that can be garnered form transaction data. Performance indicators on enrollment progression, population penetration, build-up of liability base, etc. can be analysed by geography, outlets and over time. Optimization of liquidity in the Business Correspondent network is another area that contributes to minimizing the operating costs.


Water Contamination Analysis

West Bengal Public Health Engineering Department required Analytical dashboards to monitor data on water quality and testing, progress of projects and schemes, and inventory and finance related to these. Our solution was deployed to take data from their Oracle based transaction databases and develop the analytics and dashboards.


Employment Generation Analysis

The economic census of the country is carried out by the Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation (MOSPI). Data related to types of economic activities, geographic presence, population employed etc. are systematically compiled. Periodic data on the economic activities over time has been used to model employment generation potential for various economic activities.


Crime Analytics

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the state police force compile situation reports, arrest reports and maintain criminal and committed crimes databases. The daily feeds on criminal activity can be used for developing a criminal profiling of certain sensitive areas and also establish correlations with known criminals and gangs operating there for purposes of preventive policing.
